Stitching show and Paris.

Hohohoho.

Ahh, I had so much fun at the weekend at the show in excel, don't think I would do it as a show again, its not Ally pally after all, but never the less lots of exciting things happened, and met lots of lovely people.

I had a fabulous Dinner in Nightsbridge with the MD of a rather large yarn company not based in the UK, I was to be honest rather nervous, but never-the-less it was fab.

I also met Katherine from K1, who is lovely, and you can tell she is a designer, because she looked fab!

Also had something else rather exciting happen, but can't talk about that till I know more. hehehe.

Finally, just wanted to say, the Hilton do the the bestest bestest breakfast on the planet, fruit, organic breads, the best fry up, I had the whole lot every morning with croissants and muffins as well, thank goodness I have hollow legs, thats all I can say. LOL.

So what now, add all the scrummy yarn onto the shop? um no, thats cause I am getting ready to go to Paris on Wednesday. OMG, I'm soooooooo excited. I got invited to the http://aiguille-en-fete.com/ show last autumn when I was at Ally pally, and I am in a section called 'decouverte' or something like that which means discovered. How cool is that huh? I've been discovered. hehehe. I'm just hoping my french is gonna come back to me. Believe it or not, I already have a load or orders to take for people that have ordered in advance, big grin.

So I promise, there will be pics galore next week. Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then I'll update the shop on Monday.

Pics.

I love it when people send me pictures of what they have done with my yarn, its so exciting to see what they choose to do.

These are Susan's Potomus socks, how fab are they? She used my ocean sock yarn.

Carmen y Fran are here. I'm feeling a little over excited because its so good to have them here, and it makes me so grateful that I have my sweet little house when I can let people stay in comfort and spoil them. I only recently realised that 10 paces from my door is a bakery, yeah I know, I'm not the most observant person ever, so this morning I ran over in my pajama's and bought some chocolate toffee danish pastries for breakfast, and made very very strong Spanish style coffee, yum, yum. Tonight we have a party especially for everyone to come and see them. Yippee.

Also I set up a Yahoo fyberspates group. Wanna join?

Busy busy busy!

Oh the joys of having a business. You never ever get time off. EVER. The only time I don't work is when I'm either at stitch'n bitch or I fly to another country not on business, or once I've had two glasses of wine so I can't actually see straight any more. Hehehehehe.

I was dyeing at 11pm the other night to keep up with wholesale orders, and dyeing for my beloved sock club, which is so much fun, because the batches never ever come out the same twice. Then I have to prepare for the London Creative stitches show at EXCEL in London the weekend after, any one coming?

Please come and say hello. Then two weeks after is a knitting show show in Paris. Gulp. Any one going to that? Gulp because I have to ship all my stuff there, speak french, dye all my wool, and work out translations. Slightly more nervous about this one. Any one going to that huh? If you are please please come and see me, I would like some moral support!

There are big changes happening to my business at the moment, which are so exciting, I don't care if I have to work all the time, I'm so so happy, its definitely pushing me out of my comfort zone which is fine, because things always seem to come along to help me along, so I'm just starting to trust that everything will be just fine. After last year when my expectations of the whole world were just completely destroyed and the realisation that nothing is permanent, which at first scared the hell out of me, now feels so freeing. Hmm I'm a little thoughtful today, must be all that dye going to my head.

So, got to produce a magazine submission in 2 days, can't say what, and the best thing ever? Carmen and Fran arrive for the weekend on Thursday. I'm so excited, I'm sure some of you might remember me talking about Carmen, she made the wonderful hats and bags. OOOOOOOH I can't wait.

Right off to do some work. Coffee, I NEED COFFEE. hehehe.

Ohh!!!! And first round of Sock clubs have been posted today, everyone should have them by Friday. he he. I hope you like it, I'm loving Elly's pattern, it's themed appropriately for February.

Um its snowing again.

OK, so by about 5pm last night the snow was gone, I woke up this morning, and its here again, not only that but its snowing hard, kind of settling, but still going. Thing is, its sooooo hard to leave my comfy little house when it is like this, its all warm, actually quite clean unusually, because I had a meeting here last night, Elly like the trooper she is, helped me move all my boxes into my spare bedroom aka the new store room. So I'm sat here on the floor at Fyberspates HQ, with Sophie purring on my lap, drinking strong coffee, knitting and watching the snow fall out the window.

I am gonna take a picture of the  store room ltr because its cool, however, I urge you to go take a look in the shop at the accessories section, lets put it this way, I'm never ever gonna be annoyed cause I can't find the right needles ever again, oh and the crochet hooks, YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY, they are available wholesale too.

Space dyeds are slowly being added, but it'll be a few more days yet before all 6 yarns are on there in all the colours, I want to make sure pics are fab, and its not something I'm brill at so it takes a little while. Oh and there are a few additions sprinkled in the shop especially been doing some lace weights for orders so did a few extra for the shop.

Sorry if my grammar is a bit out today, when i'm excitable I can't tell what is the right grammar to use, its a dyslexic thing I think, sorry about that.

space dyeds are here.

You are spared my over use of exclamation marks today because the shift is still not working on my keyboard. Any way, I'm a little bit excited because the space dyeds have arrived.

I've already started working on the frilly tank pattern in the green scrumpious, it needs a little amending so I need to knit it again and tweak it. The scrumptious knits up so soft its wonderful;

Blue_scrumptious Its taking a little time to update seeing as I am trying to get my pictures consistent, there are six colours in total. *sigh*  I'm happy, because I have 36 kilo's of beautiful wool in my lounge. That I believe is known as Heaven. Thanks Andy. ;-)

Its friday, Yipee!

Ok, so I am well aware that the shop needs mega updating, I've been dyeing so many wholesale orders I have slightly neglected it, still, I have some treats to add at the weekend. Included in this are the space dyed yarns, my very own fyberspates range of scrummy space dyed yarns. *I'm grinning stupidly now* They are truly yummy, a small quantity arrived today from my distributor, so I can put them in the shop. They are yummmmmmmmmmmmy. I need to take some tasty photo's tomorrow, so keep your eyes out, I'll post here once I do.

Why did I choose to have some sapce dyed yarns made for me? well......

1. I am aware that the irregualrity of hand dyed yarn can often put people off making larger garments from them, and 2? You can machine felt with almost all of these yarns, apart from scrumptious, which is not possible with hand dyed yarn because of coloour fastness. Yipeeeeeeeeeeee
